CoziGo Stroller Cover – A MUST-HAVE Baby Travel Product

If someone asked me today to name the ONE product I wish I had when I was traveling with my babies, I know exactly what I would say… It’s the CoziGo stroller and bassinet cover! And here’s why….

Overall, we found it fairly easy to travel with our daughter when she was little. Our son was very similar. They were both pretty easy going. They slept well in new places. What more could we ask for?

When I Wished I Had a CoziGo Stroller Cover

Getting good naps on-the-go was the one thing our kids did not do well. The more naps they missed the more trouble we had getting them sleeping at night. Definitely not something we wanted when traveling with a baby.

One such scenario happened on our trip to New York City with a baby (when our daughter was 10 months old). She was so overstimulated and would not sleep on-the-go. There was just so much to see. Top it off with it being unusually hot when we were there, we had no way of blocking all that stimulation.

The face of success when we gave up trying to get her to nap!

Covering the baby stroller with a blanket was no use, she would pull off any blanket that we put over the stroller. And we really could use only the lightest of blankets which would blow in the wind anyways… Having a good sun shade extender or, better yet, a full coverage stroller sun shade would have been so helpful!

With a baby product like the CoziGo stroller sun shade, we could have blocked a lot of the distractions and offered her a cooler, darker sleeping environment for naps.

Next up was a trip to Paris and London when she was 14 months old. We still didn’t have a stroller cover to block the sun, so we tried to cover the stroller with a blanket again. We could tell it was just too hot for her – the blanket just wasn’t as effective as a breathable stroller cover like the CoziGo.

This was the point where we decided to give up on trying to get her to nap on-the-go. We’d get the odd nap on-the-go, but we decided that some days we would just return to our Airbnb apartment to give her a proper nap (especially in the early days of a trip to fend off baby jet lag).

When our son came along, we just kept traveling in the same way and made sure our kids had some downtime in the middle of the day. He would get his nap and our daughter would get her “quiet time”. I’ll admit, I was a little jealous to see other parents with their kids snoozing away in the stroller, but we did what worked best for our family.

It wasn’t long after all this that we made some changes to how we travel (we incorporated a lot more active travel) and started using a baby carrier or backpack carriers exclusively.

But when I look back on those early days, I know a product like the CoziGo stroller cover would have made our life so much easier and solved some of our sleep issues.

The CoziGo actually blocks 97% of the light and removes distractions! This travel stroller cover was exactly what we needed and is now part of our our baby travel essentials!

There was even one of those #momguilt moments when our daughter was sweating in her stroller because of the blanket I had put over, not realizing how hot it was in there and thinking the little openings I had left on the sides were enough… It wasn’t even that hot out!

The CoziGo travel cover, which is 100% breathable mesh fabric, is such a better option plus the sun protection is well worth it with the UVP 50+ rating. Stroller covers for sun are perfect to keep a baby under 6 months out of the sun when they can’t wear sunscreen yet!

Using CoziGo on the Airplane

Could this help to get baby to sleep on a plane too?

The CoziGo bassinet and stroller cover is also made to go over airplane bassinets for baby in flight.

We only ever had one flight using an airplane bassinet when our daughter was 3 months old, but having one of these airplane bassinet covers would have been a life saver when flying with a baby, especially when the lights were turned on and she was still sleeping.

Even if you aren’t using the inflight bassinets but instead are flying with a car seat, the CoziGo has a universal fit that will work on car seat.

You baby won’t need to miss nap times! While it shouldn’t be used on a car seat while driving in a car, it can be used when traveling with a car seat on the airplane!

Giving your baby that dark environment, free from distractions, can help get your baby to sleep on the flight! Something every parent wants! Just remember that you won’t get to use an airplane bassinet until after take-off and you’ll have to remove your baby before landing.

Using the CoziGo to Help Baby Nap

Getting baby to sleep while on vacation will help keep your baby’s sleep routine, meaning everyone will enjoy the family holiday so much more! The 100% breathable stroller cover can help your baby fall asleep faster and stay asleep longer.

So how does the CoziGo cover actually work? Watch this video for how this simple yet ingenious concept works as I unbox it for the first time.

Next up, we tested this traveling cover out on a stroller. If you have multiple strollers (i.e. one for home and a travel stroller), then you’ll want the best universal stroller sun shade to fit on any stroller. This was a large jogging stroller and there were no issues getting it to fit.

After testing the CoziGo on a stroller, Julie took it on a trip to see how it was to travel with. Here’s what Julie had to say about the CoziGo baby stroller cover:

“The CoziGo stroller cover saved us quite a few times! We ended up traveling on the day that Air Canada introduced their new check in systems. Line ups were long and Mila was getting overwhelmed and tired. I decided to try the CoziGo, it was just enough to help baby relax and calm down.

I also used it just as a sun shade by leaving the side panels open when visiting the beach. I got invited to visit a science centre with my sister and nephews right in the middle of nap time. Usually I would have said no but decided to attempt a nap on the go using the CoziGo as a travel blackout blind for the stroller.

It was a huge success! She napped way longer than I expected. My only complaint is the difficulty I had folding it back up and getting it back into its original sleeve for travel!

Overall I would highly recommend the CoziGo. Its way more compact than any other cover I’ve seen. I love that it covers the entire stroller and I really like that you can open the side panels.”

We found another traveling mom to get additional feedback on the CoziGo as a stroller sun shade. Here’s Roselyn’s review of the CoziGo:
“I really liked the CoziGo stroller sun shade! It was really easy to use and I just left it on the stroller the whole time we were on vacation. It folds up nice and small (it took me a bit to figure that out). I used it only partially closed most times, so it blocked the sun but I could still her.

I still wear my daughter in a sling quite often, otherwise we would have used it more!”

Tips for Using the CoziGo Stroller Cover

  • As you saw in the video above, Mila was not happy the first few times we put the CoziGo on the stroller. We recommend trying out stroller covers several times before traveling. It may be more comfortable for your baby to get used to it by leaving one of the side panels open to start.

  • It can take a bit of getting used to get it folded back up and into the travel pouch. Do some practice runs before leaving on your trip.

CoziGo Stroller Sun Shade & Bassinet Cover – Specs

Here’s a recap of the benefits of the CoziGo stroller cover as a airplane bassinet cover or a baby stroller cover:

  • The CoziGo has a universal fit that should work for most airline bassinets and all travel strollers, including an infant travel stroller with bassinet. The CoziGo will also fit over car seats (when using as a travel system or on the airplane).
  • Not only does the CoziGo block 97% of the light, the CoziGo fabric is 100% breathable and has a UVP +50 rating.
  • It has two side panels that open fully plus a peek-a-boo panel at the top. This makes it super convenient to see your baby and let your baby look out when awake.
  • CoziGo bassinet and stroller cover has been formally approved on several airlines (you can find the updated list in the FAQ section on the CoziGo website).
CoziGo Stroller Cover and Airplane Bassinet Cover

We typically list any drawbacks to a product, but in the case the only downside of the CoziGo is figuring out how to get it folded back up easily. Something that could easily be overcome with some practice.

Not only is the CoziGo a great product for travel with a baby, but it’s also great for every day use since it offers such good sun protection. That’s something that we really like!

You can buy your CoziGo direct from the website. Free shipping for USA, Canada, UK and Australia!

Unfortunately, the CoziGo isn’t available on Amazon. If you are looking to make a purchase on Amazon, this baby sun shade and stroller cover is well reviewed. You won’t get the added benefit of the airplane bassinet cover, so we do recommend taking advantage of the free shipping from CoziGo.

Note: We were sent a CoziGo for the purpose of testing it out and writing this CoziGo review, however all opinions are own.
